Fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma one family at a time.

What is Crochet4Cancer?
Crochet 4 Cancer is a non-profit campaign to raise money for families with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Inspired by my Uncle Buddy, who was diagnosed this year. I have started this campaign to raise money for my family and once we have reached the goal of $10,000. We will continue to raise money for other families with the same needs. This is no one man show, we need volunteers that believe in the same cause to help families with medical and living expenses.

Join The Cause!
Do you know how to crochet? If not that's okay too. Some people crochet as a hobby or just to make gifts. If that is you, why not make your hobby into something more. We are not asking for ALL proceeds to go to crochet4cancer we are asking for just 65%. Why? Because we know supplies cost money and in order for you to keep going, why not keep some of that profit to go back into supplies and your own time. I have put together some patterns, that are great for beginners and the more experienced crocheters. If you have never crocheted before that's ok I have put together a board on my pinterest with tutorials and free patterns. http://pinterest.com/bornfromyarn/crochet-4-cancer-patterns/ If this is something you may want to do please email me and we can get you started. Post on comments below. I look forward to working with you in reaching our current goal and many more to come.

Meet the Family!

The Shaw Family
My Uncle is the Tallest in the picture.
Quinton Shaw was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma this summer. He started his first treatment of chemo therapy last Monday August 6th. He is an amazing man and father with a big heart and as you can see a very big family to take care of. As of right now his wife the beautiful red head in the picture, is working full time as an ER nurse 3rd shift no less, while he is out of work for the next 6 to 8 months for his treatments. She is truly a hero and strong dedicated woman in my book. With five children, one daughter-in and grandchild, and her mother. That is a lot of people to take care of. This big beautiful family never asked for my help or yours but I will do it for them. With such a large family you can't imagine what their living expenses are and not to mention the medical bills that are soon to poor in.
